The combination of amlodipine, hydrochlorothiazide, and valsartan in this tablet has a synergistic effect on lowering blood pressure. Amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker, inhibits the influx of calcium ions into smooth muscle cells, leading to vasodilation and reduced peripheral resistance. Hydrochlorothiazide, a thiazide diuretic, increases urinary excretion of sodium and water, which decreases blood volume and reduces blood pressure. Composition Each film coated tablet contains: Valsartan USP: 160 mg Amlodipine USP: 5 mg Hydrochlorothiazide: 12.5 mg Suggested Usage Use only as directed by the physician.
