Paridopa is a combination medication containing Levodopa, Carbidopa, and Entacapone. It is used for the treatment of Parkinson's disease in patients experiencing motor fluctuations, also known as the “wearing-off” phenomenon. Levodopa is a dopamine precursor that helps replace the lost neurotransmitter in the brain, Carbidopa prevents the breakdown of Levodopa outside the brain, and Entacapone further extends the effect of Levodopa by inhibiting its peripheral metabolism.
