Cardiolite contains Atenolol, a cardioselective beta-blocker used for the management of hypertension (high blood pressure), angina pectoris (chest pain), and cardiac arrhythmias (irregular heartbeats). It is also used to reduce the risk of death after a heart attack (myocardial infarction). Atenolol works by blocking the action of certain natural chemicals in the body, such as adrenaline, which affect the heart and blood vessels.
