Synicom is a combination ophthalmic solution containing Dorzolamide (a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor) and Timolol (a beta-blocker). It is used to lower elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension who require more than one medication. This fixed-dose combination works through two complementary mechanisms: Dorzolamide reduces aqueous humor production, while Timolol increases its outflow.
