Lansoprazole 30mg capsule is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that works by reducing the amount of acid produced in the stomach. It is commonly used to treat conditions such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), where acid from the stomach irritates the esophagus, and stomach ulcers. Lansoprazole is also used to treat conditions like Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, where the stomach produces too much acid, and to help prevent the formation of ulcers due to the use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). By decreasing stomach acid production, Lansoprazole helps to relieve symptoms such as heartburn, acid reflux, and stomach discomfort, while promoting the healing of esophageal and gastric ulcers.
