Febuxostat 40mg Tablet is a medication used primarily to manage hyperuricemia in patients with gout. It works by inhibiting the enzyme xanthine oxidase, which plays a crucial role in the production of uric acid. By blocking xanthine oxidase, Febuxostat decreases the production of uric acid, thereby lowering its levels in the blood and preventing the formation of uric acid crystals in joints and tissues.
