Minirin 0.1mg tablet contains Desmopressin which belongs to the group of medicines called Synthetic antidiuretic peptide. It is used to manage cranial diabetes insipidus (occurs when there's not enough AVP in the body to regulate urine production). It also used to manage primary nocturnal enuresis (bed wetting from the age of 5) and nocturia in adults up to 65 years (night-time urine production exceeding bladder capacity). Desmopressin works by reducing the amount of water that is eliminated in the urine. It enhances the reabsorption of water in the kidneys. Avoid drinking large amounts of water or fluid during this medication that leads to a build-up of water resulting in dilution of the salt in the body and may cause a serious problems or convulsions. Composition Each tablet contains: Acetate: 0.1 mg Directions for Use Use only as directed by the Physician.
