As an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus who are already treated with pioglitazone alone or who are not adequately controlled on metformin alone, or for those patients who have initially responded to pioglitazone alone and require additional glycemic control. Composition Each tablet contains: Pioglitazone: 15 mg Metformin HCl: 500 mg Directions for Use Use only as directed by the physician.
