Calcar-D chewable tablets contain calcium and vitamin D3 which are both important substances in the bone formation. Calcium is a mineral and so it cannot be produced by the body. Therefore, consuming adequate levels of calcium is crucial. The body needs a constant supply of calcium from diet to keep bones growing and strong. Vitamin D plays an important role in maintaining the calcium balance and in the regulation of parathyroid hormone (PTH). It promotes renal absorption of calcium and increases intestinal absorption of calcium and phosphorus. Supplement Facts Each chewable tablet contains: Calcium Carbonate (BP): 600 mg Vitamin D3 (BP): 200 IU Suggested Usage Adult, elderly, and children over 12 years of age: 1 tablet daily as a dietary supplement, can be 2 tablets daily or as directed by the healthcare practitioner.
