Effiflox 500mg contains Levofloxacin, a broad-spectrum fluoroquinolone antibiotic used to treat more severe bacterial infections. This higher strength is indicated for conditions such as complicated urinary tract infections (UTIs), acute pyelonephritis (kidney infection), hospital-acquired pneumonia, and skin/skin structure infections. Levofloxacin works by inhibiting bacterial DNA replication. Due to the risk of serious side effects, its use is reserved for infections where the benefits outweigh the risks and other alternatives are not suitable. Potent Antibiotic Action: The 500mg dose provides higher concentration for treating moderate to severe infections.
