Cefoperz is a sterile, dry powder for injection containing the broad-spectrum antibiotic Cefoperazone (a third-generation cephalosporin) combined with the beta-lactamase inhibitor Sulbactam. This powerful combination is used to treat severe bacterial infections in hospitalized patients, including respiratory, abdominal, skin, urinary tract, and gynecological infections, as well as septicemia. The Sulbactam component protects Cefoperazone from degradation by resistant bacteria, enhancing its effectiveness. Broad-Spectrum Antibacterial Action: Effective against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, including many resistant strains. Synergistic Combination: Sulbactam inhibits bacterial enzymes that destroy antibiotics, restoring and extending the potency of Cefoperazone.
