Pyodine Gel is a special formulation of Povidone-Iodine which enables the active ingredient to be absorbed quickly and also provides a protective covering on the surface of the wound. Povidone-Iodine in Pyodine Gel is capable of killing all classes of pathogens encountered in nosocomial and day-to-day infections; gram+ve bacteria and gram-ve bacteria (including antibiotic resistant strains and mycobacteria), fungi/yeast, viruses and protozoa. It is the only microbicide with this broad-spectrum of activity. Composition Each 100g contains: Povidone-Iodine: 5.0 g Directions for Use Cover the affected area of skin with Pyodine Gel and apply occlusive dressing. Twice daily application is sufficient. In burn and other chronic wounds thrice daily applications are required.
